In the Pink

March 2, 2018

Can the color you wear really affect your mood? Research says yes; color can absolutely affect your mood, behavior and stress levels. Color specialist Leatrice Eiseman says how colors affect us correlates to that colors behavior in nature.

According to colour experts, pink is the colour most often associated with charm, sensitivity, tenderness, sweetness, childhood, femininity and the romantic. Just like fragrance, the saturation of a colour deeply effects our emotions. The colour pink represents caring, compassion and love. It stands for unconditional love and understanding, and is associated with giving and receiving care.

Louise Bourgeois, the famous French artist who lived to 90 years of age was very aware of the effect of colour. She said, "... blue was her colour because it transported her into a world of freedom where you can say what you like and don't like." Blue is associated with a clear sky heralding no bad weather.

If pink were a fragrance what would it be to you?
